The Citadel elevator music is still looping in my skull, that same three note chime, but now it’s the soundtrack to Commander Shepard getting absolutely railed by a reprogrammed Geth colossus in the cargo bay. Whore Effect doesn’t pretend to be anything other than a sticky, unapologetic parody. The whole thing runs on a rickety sandbox engine where you click around the Normandy, and the “adventure” is just a thin excuse to unlock puzzle minigames that are about as challenging as a wet paper bag. Match three symbols, Shepard loses her top. Solve a sliding tile puzzle, and suddenly Liara’s blue tentacles are wrapped around places the Codex never mentioned.
The art is pure 2DCG, deliberately wonky, like someone traced over a DeviantArt fan piece from 2012 and then just went feral with the anatomy. EDI’s robot body has seams that open in ways that would make a hardware engineer weep. There’s a scene with a monster girl, some kind of Rachni hybrid thing, where the creampie physics are so absurd I laughed out loud. The vaginal sex animations are just a few looping frames, but the sound design is a crime against the Protheans. Wet slaps and moans that clip like a corrupted audio file. I wish the Liara scene had more dialogue, but it won’t. She just sort of gasps and her eyes go cross.
Spent twenty minutes stuck on a “hacking” minigame that was literally just clicking a button until a bar filled up. The reward was Shepard in a zero-gravity gangbang with the entire crew. No build up, no loyalty missions. Just a pop-up that said “Reapers can wait.” The sandbox structure means you can sequence break the whole thing and end up with a maxed out “depravity” stat before you even visit the Citadel. Forgot to mention the monster tag properly. There’s a scene where Shepard gets double-teamed by a Varren and a Husk, and the game treats it with the same casual tone as a mineral scanning sidequest. The whole thing runs like a fever dream you’d have after passing out in a comic con panel. The fantasy elements are just there to justify the monster girls, and the sci-fi is just a coat of paint on a very sticky wall.
