Right out the gate the mirror scene got me. Not because it's sexy, but because it's so aggressively, intentionally ugly. Eve's reflection stares back, all bad skin and tired eyes, and you can almost smell the stale cigarette smoke clinging to her hair. The whole game feels like that. Deliberately unpolished, like someone dragged it through a dirty ashtray before uploading. And I mean that as a compliment. Mostly.

Eve's life is a slow motion car wreck you can't look away from. She's in her early thirties, working a dead end bartending gig, trying to claw back some visitation rights with her kid after a spectacular fuckup involving drugs and a teen pregnancy. Her side hustle is getting naked on Shamecams, which is where the game's lewd content really digs its nails in. The camming segments are this grimy, transactional thing. You're picking angles, typing out responses to faceless usernames like "LonelyGuy42" who tip in increments of a dollar, and watching a meter fill up. It's not glamorous. It's kind of perfect for the tone. The sex scenes later, after a late shift goes sideways, feel like a natural, horrible extension of that same desperation.

The art style is... well, it's something. Character models have this stiff, almost mannequin quality that somehow adds to the whole uncomfortable vibe. Mouths don't quite sync with dialogue. But the lighting in the bar, all neon reds and deep shadows, actually looks fantastic. There's this one detail with a flickering sign outside Eve's apartment that I stared at for way too long, thinking about how much it probably costs her in electricity.

Choices branch out in ways that feel genuinely risky. Do you take that drink, knowing you're a recovering addict? Do you flirt with the sketchy regular for a bigger tip? The game remembers, and the consequences aren't always telegraphed. My first playthrough, I tried to play it smart and safe. Eve ended up in a worse spot than when I just let her make all the selfish choices. Wish there was a way to just, I don't know, call her social worker. But that's not the game, is it. The sound design is mostly ambient bar noise and a looping track that started to grate on me after about twenty minutes. A volume slider would've been nice. A mute button for the Shamecams chat would've been nicer. Some of those messages are a bit too real.
