The whole thing feels like someone scanned their summer vacation polaroids into a crusty old visual novel engine and called it a day. Not in a bad way though. That unpolished look, the slightly off color grading, it actually works for the vibe. Like finding a shoebox of photos that are definitely not meant for family viewing. You play this guy, a photographer, stuck in summer school which is already a nightmare scenario but then there's these women and the camera isn't just for landscapes anymore.

The photography mechanic is basically a minigame where you frame shots and the game judges your angles. Get it right and the CG hentai scenes unlock with these really detailed, almost painterly stills. The contrast between the janky dialogue boxes and the high effort art is jarring in a way that makes the explicit stuff hit harder. One moment you're reading text that sounds like it went through three different translators, the next you're staring at a spread that clearly had someone spending hours on the lighting and sweat droplets. Summer heat indeed.

The romance paths are weirdly linear but there's this one character, the teaching assistant, who has an arc that actually made me forget I was playing a porn game for a solid ten minutes. She's got this whole thing about her own art career failing and the way the writing fumbles through that emotional beat is somehow more genuine than most AAA games. Then the scene shifts and she's bent over a darkroom table and all that character development just evaporates into steam. Not complaining. The game knows what it is. Just wish the save system wasn't so clunky, lost my progress twice because the autosave triggers are placed by someone who clearly hates convenience. The summer setting does a lot of heavy lifting, the ambient sound of cicadas buzzing while you decide which girl to pursue next, the whole thing has this lazy, hazy quality that makes the explicit content feel less transactional and more like actual summer flings. If you can stomach the rough edges, there's something here that polished adult games miss entirely.
