The whole thing runs on pure, uncut awkwardness and I am here for it. Not the polished kind, the real kind where you can almost smell the chlorine from the sauna mixing with whatever the hell Homer spilled on the carpet last week. The setup is so specific it wraps back around to being universal, you know? You're staying with the Simpsons, Homer bails to help Moe practice for a poker tournament, which is such a perfect dick move. So you're left with Marge, fresh out of a new sauna, still damp, and she offers to play strip poker with you while she takes a bath. The game is literally that, a pov strip poker match against Marge Simpson. The art is deliberately unpolished, like a fan comic that got a little too horny, and it fits the vibe perfectly. I got stuck for way too long just staring at the way her hair stays up even when she's, you know, losing. The mechanics are basic poker, but the real game is in the tension of each bet. You win a hand, she removes something. She wins, you remove something. It's not balanced at all, she folds on the weirdest hands, like she wants to lose. Which, from a character perspective, maybe she does? That's the therapist angle. She's stuck in a marriage with a man who chose Moe over family poker night, and here's this distant relative by marriage, and the sauna's right there, and it's a chance to feel like a pro-beater, to be seen as more than just the one who groans about Moe's. The juiciest scene isn't even a full nude thing, it's when she's down to her underwear, sitting in the bath, and the water makes the fabric cling in a way that's more obscene than if it was just off. The bubbles strategically cover nothing important. I wish the game had a bit more reaction from her, some dialogue after a big loss, but it won't. It just loops that same slightly disappointed but also weirdly eager face. The whole thing is on some site called situationeroticpoker, which is a url I now have in my search history forever. It's a one-note joke that knows it's a one-note joke and plays that note until the string breaks. And I kept playing.
