I got stuck on the second screen for like twenty minutes. Not because it's hard, the robots just kept doing this thing where they grab you and the animation loops in a way that's... look, the hitboxes are weird okay? Sometimes you punch right through them and other times you're just magnetically pulled into a scene. The art style is that specific kind of rough anime sketch that honestly works better for this than anything polished would. The protagonist's uniform barely contains anything and the way it tears progressively is a nice touch, though I wish the damage states were more varied.
The masturbation button is X. Just X. No stamina cost, no cooldown, you can just hit it mid-combo while a robot is mid-lunge and she'll drop everything to... handle things. It's absurd and I love it. The robots don't even react, they just stand there waiting like polite perverts. Actually that's not true, sometimes they keep attacking and you take damage while she's busy. Which feels intentional? Maybe? The kick has way more range than the punch but the recovery frames are atrocious. You'll whiff a kick and eat a full grab sequence because the animation commitment is like a Dark Souls boss weapon.
The preview thing is a bummer because just when the enemy variety starts getting interesting it cuts off. There's this one robot with multiple arms that I only fought twice before hitting the wall. The sound design is basically nonexistent, just some stock slaps and moans that don't sync up half the time. Shinobi Girl comparisons are inevitable but this one's got a looser, more chaotic energy. Like someone animated it during a fever dream. The backgrounds are placeholder grey boxes but honestly I was too distracted to care. I'll probably forget about this until the full version drops and then remember it exists at the worst possible moment.
