Okay so this game, Having a HARD Time, right? The music is this weird lo-fi beat that loops and honestly I started hearing it in my sleep. Not in a good way. The sound effects though, when the experiment goes wrong, there's this squelch that made me actually pause and stare at my screen. Voice acting is nonexistent, which is probably for the better because I can't imagine anyone voicing the main character's internal panic without it sounding like a bad hentai dub.

The whole thing is a visual novel about a chem student at Wentford, and you've got this childhood best friend. Standard setup. But then the lab accident happens and suddenly you're dealing with... changes. The CG art for the transformation scenes is actually pretty hot in that specific, unpolished way. Like someone drew it on a tablet during a boring lecture. There's this one scene where you're looking in the mirror and the reflection is just wrong enough to be unsettling and arousing at the same time. I wish the dialogue choices mattered more but they don't and they won't and I've made peace with that.

The writing jumps between surprisingly decent character moments and then just absolute nonsense. Your professor says something about molecular restructuring and I'm sitting there like, that's not how any of this works. But who cares, right? We're here for the body horror smut. The best friend character has this reaction that felt real, the kind of hesitant curiosity mixed with horror that reminds me of that one doujin everyone's read but nobody admits to. I spent way too long on the second experiment scene just clicking through variations. The game remembers your choices in weird ways too, like a callback to something you said three scenes ago that made me actually laugh. Not supposed to be funny but here we are.
