Glory of Holly has this strange texture to it, like a silk stocking with a run you keep touching. The art is deliberately rough around the edges, not that polished airbrushed look you get in most of these things. It fits though. Holly White, our honors student with the kind of ass that makes you forget she's supposed to be smart, moves to the big city and immediately lands at a media company that's definitely not making cooking shows. The first time her new boss "adjusts" her posture during a meeting, I actually laughed. Not because it was funny. Because I'd already clicked the option that made her lean into it.
The point system is straightforward, good girl versus bad girl, but it's not that simple. I found myself staring at dialogue choices way longer than I should, and I review adult games for fuck's sake. There's this one scene where her boyfriend calls while she's still catching her breath from a "work assignment" that involved a lot less clothing than any job description would cover. You can answer or let it ring. I let it ring. The cheating tag is earned, believe me.
What's weird is how the game handles the lesbian content. It's there, it's explicit, but it feels almost... sweeter? Than the male domination stuff. Which is rough. Like, genuinely rough. The humiliation scenes with her boss don't pull punches, and the interracial scenes have this power dynamic that's uncomfortable in exactly the way it should be. The groping on the train sequence made me remember why I don't take public transit anymore. The corruption arc isn't subtle. One minute she's a blushing virgin, next she's finding excuses to "work late" and the handjobs under the desk become blowjobs in the supply closet. The stripping minigame is basically just clicking, but the writing during it? The internal monologue about what her parents would think? That's the good stuff. The exhibitionism scenes feel earned because you watched her get there.
