I swear the cards are getting smaller. Or my brain is just fried from trying to match Leela's cyclops eye in three slightly different poses while the timer ticks down. It's a Futurama memory game, right, but the art is that specific kind of horny parody where everyone's proportions are... generous. Amy's outfit is basically a suggestion at this point. The first round is a joke, like four cards. You think, I got this, I'm a genius. Then round six hits and you're staring at a grid of Fry's confused face and various states of undress, and you click the wrong card and everything resets. The sound effect it makes when you fail is this sad little bloop that I'm starting to hear in my sleep.
The whole thing runs on this janky but charming energy. The card flip animation is not smooth, it's like a cheap magic trick. You're not here for polish though. You're here to unlock a picture of Leela and Amy in a scenario that definitely never aired on Fox. The difficulty curve is a bastard. It doesn't just add more cards, it feels like it shuffles them with pure malice. I had a perfect run going, felt like a king, and then the next level was just a wall of purple hair and green skin and I choked. My one tiny complaint, and I'll never get over it, is that the card backs are this ugly brown color. Why brown? In a universe with slurm and spaceships, we get brown. It bothers me more than it should.
You know what this reminds me of? Those old Newgrounds games where the promise of a dirty jpeg was the only thing pushing you through increasingly cruel gameplay. It's that same deal. No plot, no deep character arcs for Bender, just pure card-flipping grind. I forgot what I was doing halfway through and just started clicking randomly, which is a terrible strategy. The final unlocked picture of Leela was worth the headache though, even if I'm pretty sure her wrist doesn't bend that way. Good luck getting the Zoidberg one, I think my copy is bugged or maybe I just suck.
