Within the first ten minutes of her moving into this "home full of memories", the plumber shows up and she can't pay him. So naturally, the text box is giving me options like "offer him something else" or "beg for mercy". I picked the obvious one because, well, I'm not playing a visual novel for the plumbing advice.

The spanking stuff hits almost immediately and it's so clinically rendered in that weirdly smooth 3DCG way. Like a mannequin getting slapped. There's this one scene with a debt collector in the kitchen where she's bent over the counter and the sound effect is just... a wet smack that loops too fast. Completely took me out. I was more focused on the fact her grandfather's old coffee mug is still on the table in the background, just sitting there. Nobody moves it. That tiny detail got stuck in my head more than the actual lewd stuff.

I guess the emotional depth is supposed to come from her grief? But it only pops up as a paragraph of text before someone's asking her to strip to pay for a leaky faucet.

I spent too long trying to figure out the financial minigame. It's not explained at all. You just see a number go down and a "stress" meter go up, which apparently makes her more susceptible to, you know. It's like the game is designed by someone who thinks being poor is a kink. The whole thing feels unpolished, not in a charming way, but in a "someone forgot to add the transitions" way. Still, I kept clicking. Something about that stupid coffee mug.
