The compendium is where I live now. Not the actual game, just that menu screen with all the tear states lined up like a buffet. Gardevoir cosplayer in the maid cafe, right? Her third combat pose, the one where the dress is basically a suggestion at that point, I spent way too long just... examining the sprite work. The artist, Emily or whoever, gets how fabric should cling when it's half gone. Not realistic, not trying to be, but the way the pixels suggest skin underneath. That's the whole thing with this game. It's a pokemon parody that forgot to be a parody and just became its own weird horny convention simulator.
Clicking the tall grass objects. You rub them with the mouse. I'm not joking, that's the mechanic for finding shinies. Rubbing fake grass on a screen to force encounters with cosplayers who get progressively more undressed as you beat them in turn based combat that's actually... not broken anymore? Carmen used to literally poison herself when summoned, some bug where she'd lower fire damage instead of raising it. Fixed now. She'll stop eating poison to show the jabronies, whatever that means. The writing is like that, full of inside jokes I don't get but somehow still find funny.
Mara was stealing 100% of my MP when I tried to see her reward image. Straight up robbery. Now she only takes a small amount and promised to use it for efficiency and entertainment value. Sure, Mara. Whatever you say. The Ivy date questline actually has an ending now, thank fuck, because loading a save from the old version just to wander around the beach room was getting pathetic. Two new saveable cosplayers in the cafe. Jolteon and Gardevoir. The map tells you which ultra rares you can catch. Sticker sets for James, Carmen, Faye. I don't care about stickers. I care about the combat pose gallery and how the compendium loads faster now without the lag that used to make scrolling through defeat states feel like wading through syrup.
