The leveling system in this thing is a joke. A beautiful, deliberate, unpolished joke. You grind obedience points like a good little data entry clerk, except instead of spreadsheets it's... well. The first time the mistress character made me beg just to equip a leather collar that gave +2 Humiliation, I actually laughed out loud. RPG mechanics as a framing device for degradation, who knew stat screens could blush? The whole interface feels held together with string and a certain je ne sais quoi about proper browser support. Firefox, she demands, and she's not wrong.
Soundtrack is basically three loops of what I can only describe as "dungeon synth meets a dripping faucet" and somehow it works. No voice acting, which is a crime. A crime! Imagine those domming lines delivered with actual sneer. Instead you get text boxes and your own imagination filling in the tone, which is fine I guess but leaves something wanting. The petplay segments particularly suffer, reading "good kitty" hits different than hearing it. But then the writing itself surprises you with this one scene involving a trap character and a complete inversion of expected power dynamics and suddenly you forget about audio limitations because the dialogue is doing a number on your synapses anyway.
Performance is predictably terrible in Chrome. Not just a little stutter, full on rendering artifacts during the more intensive scenes where the game clearly wasn't optimized and doesn't care. Fumbled my way through a maledom humiliation sequence that kept hanging on frame transitions, genuinely wasn't sure if it was a bug or a feature designed to edge the player. Would be perfect with actual animation instead of static images with sliding transitions. But then the static image changed to something unexpected and I choked on my coffee and remembered why I keep coming back to these broken little browser games that punch above their weight class.
