Afterparty Nights Chapter 1
I don't know what I expected from a game tagged "photographer" and "voyeurism" but here we are. Ethan's this dude with a camera and a girlfriend who's getting way too much attention online. The whole setup feels like someone's half remembered fantasy from scrolling through Instagram at 2 AM, which I guess is the point. The AI art is... there. Sometimes Avery's hand looks normal, sometimes it looks like she's got seven fingers having a meeting. You learn to live with it.
The party scene is where things get properly unhinged. There's this moment where you're supposed to be taking photos but instead you're watching Chloe through a doorway and the game just lets you. No judgment, no morality meter, just "here's a situation, do what you want." I sat there for maybe five minutes just clicking through dialogue options that all felt wrong but also exactly right for the character. The handjob scene comes out of nowhere and the writing during it is surprisingly decent, like someone actually thought about what makes that specific situation hot rather than just mashing body parts together. Then immediately after there's this weird dialogue about camera lenses that goes on way too long. Why.
I wish the exhibitionism angle was pushed harder. Avery's whole thing is being watched by strangers online but the game keeps pulling back right when it should lean in. There's this one moment where she's reading comments and you can see Ethan getting worked up about it, and the tension is actually good, but then it just... moves on. Like the writer got embarrassed. For a game about watching and being watched, it's weirdly shy about its own premise. The romance elements feel tacked on, like someone remembered this was supposed to have feelings and quickly added some "I care about you" dialogue between the voyeur bits. Still thinking about that party scene though.

Continuum Season 1 [Demo]
The whole thing runs on a dice roll system that feels like it was coded by someone who just discovered probability. You pick an action, the game rolls a D20 against your stats, and then it shows you a render. Sometimes the renders are genuinely hot, that specific 3DCG style where the skin has this almost plastic sheen but the proportions are so absurd they loop back around to being fascinating. There's this one brunette with a back tattoo, a full piece that crawls up her spine, and the first time you get a scene with her it's framed so you barely see it. You have to fail a specific charm check, which I did, repeatedly, on purpose, just to get the camera angle that finally shows the ink while she's bent over a sculpture stand. The game knows what it's doing with the teasing, dangling the full explicit payoff behind these stat walls.
The party scenes are where it gets weird. You'd think a big social gathering would be a buffet of content but it's mostly just a hub to trigger one on one encounters. The "big tits" and "big ass" tags are doing a lot of heavy lifting here, every female character is built like that, which gets samey. I spent an embarrassing amount of time trying to game the system, save scumming before dialogue choices to see if the animated loops had any variation. They don't, really. It's a short loop per success state. But the loop for the redhead in the library, the one where she's just teasing you over a book, has this one frame where her expression shifts from smug to genuinely surprised. That single frame is doing more work than entire other games I've played. The male protagonist is a total blank slate, which is fine, but his internal monologue is this cringey artist bro nonsense about "passion" and "creativity" that I started clicking through. The game wants to be this deep thing about art and love but it's a delivery system for unlocking increasingly explicit 3DCG renders, and on that level, the grind is almost meditative. Almost.
