The laundry basket is full again and I got exactly 23 minutes before the dryer buzzes. That's when I clicked on this thing. My back hurts from work and I just wanted something quick, you know? The 3d models are... well they're not winning any awards. Faces look a bit like melted action figures sometimes. But the bodies. Oh boy.

These men are built like brick walls. Huge shoulders, chests you could park a car on. The kind of bara stuff that makes you forget about the weird shadow under the warden's chin. You play this young guy thrown in prison for no reason. Classic setup. First cellmate already giving you the eyes before the door even closes. The muscle definition on these characters is ridiculous in the best way. Veins popping, abs you could grate cheese on.

I got to this scene with the shower block and honestly forgot to check my phone. Something about the way the steam effect half works makes it more... intimate? No that's the wrong word. Raw maybe. The dialogue is cheesy as hell but who cares when the guard captain is built like that. There's this one choice where you can either fight back or submit and I picked submit obviously and the animation that followed was stiff but also exactly what I needed. The sound design is basically nonexistent though. Just some looping prison ambiance that started driving me crazy after a while.

Wish there was more variety in the body types. Everyone's a bodybuilder. Where's the lanky guys? The bears with actual bellies? Also the plot makes zero sense but I wasn't exactly here for the storytelling. The gay content is front and center which I appreciate. No beating around the bush. Just straight to the... well you know. My dryer buzzed ten minutes ago and I'm still writing this.

The first time the acolyte drops to his knees in the temple, I actually laughed. Not because it's funny. Because the sprite work is so deliberately rough, like someone drew it on a napkin during a boring sermon, and yet the tension is thick enough to choke on. This village hidden in mountains, this young man sent to "serve the gods," and you already know what that means before the first dialogue box appears. It means bara bodies with shoulders like boulders and thighs that could crush watermelons. It means mythological beings who haven't had company in centuries and aren't about to waste time on small talk.

The romance paths twist in ways I didn't expect. One god wants devotion, another wants degradation, and there's this moment with the forest deity where the acolyte is bent over an altar and the text describes the exact sound of stone grinding against skin and I had to close my browser for a second. Not because it was too much. Because I realized I was holding my breath. The writing does that thing where it's clumsy and then suddenly precise, like a drunk who nails a cartwheel. You'll be reading some awkward exposition about "strengthening bonds" and then bam, a line about sweat pooling in the small of a back that hits harder than anything in a polished AAA title.

The UI is a disaster. Buttons overlap sometimes. The font choices are crimes against design. I don't care. There's a scene with the storm god that made me forget I was clicking through static images. The sound design is basically nonexistent so I put on some lo-fi beats from my Spotify "divine intervention" playlist and honestly? Perfect. This game understands that the gap between what's shown and what's imagined is where the real heat lives. The acolyte's face barely changes expression but somehow you know exactly what he's feeling when the war god grips his jaw. That's not skill, that's some kind of accident that works anyway.

The big one, the one that makes my jaw ache just looking at it, is Amber’s entire torso. Aark0 draws these lads with a weight that feels obscene, like the muscles have their own gravity. You get this scene early on, maybe twenty minutes in after swatting at mosquitos along the Colorado, where the canvas tent rips. Just a little tear. But through it, you see Gabriel, the quiet one with the beard, stripped down and using a wet rag to wipe river silt from his chest. The way the water sits in the little dip of his collarbone. I stared at that single frame for maybe five minutes until my phone dimmed. The art doesn’t look finished around the edges, like a rushed pencil test, but that’s the charm? No, scrap that. It’s hot because it looks like a sketch someone drew with one hand.

Mateo is completely useless in a fight, by the way. There’s a moment where a jaguar lunges and he just freezes, which leads to a very prolonged sequence of having to pick thorns out of his backside while he groans into a hammock. The wound cleaning is absurdly detailed. You think you’re going to get a kiss or a heartfelt confession, but no, you just get a six-hour boat ride where they argue about burned beans. I wish there was a button to make the sound of the rapids shut up because it loops funny and I kept checking if my actual faucet was dripping. But then you forget about that because Amber finds this mossy staircase and Gabriel bends him over a ruined altar so fast the “achievement unlocked” pop-up blocks the good angle. Pacing is like a soggy sandwich, all this bread about colonialism and geology, then suddenly a wet, messy filling you didn’t expect on page seventy-four. I still haven't beaten it.
