The first elf walks in like she owns the place, all pointy ears and attitude, and I'm stuck in this grimy lab trying to figure out if I should sell her a potion or bend her over the alchemy table. That's Magus Lab, I guess. Brozeks really said let's make a management sim where the customers are hornier than me after a dry spell. You get resources, build rooms, do experiments, but honestly the quest log is just a suggestion. Last update has six levels and more characters than I can keep track of. An orc shows up at night with demands, and I'm sitting there balancing my mana crystals like it's my bank account after a bad month.
The controls are clunky in that perfect unpolished way, like the game knows you're not here for smooth menus. You upgrade stuff, unlock scenes, and sometimes a mage just wants to watch an elf bounce on his lap while the cauldron bubbles over. There's this one moment with a night customer that hit different, the kind of thing where you forget you're supposed to be managing inventory. I wish there was more variety in the day cycle, but that's probably coming in some patreon update I'll forget to check.
Comedy in this game is accidental half the time. An orc walks in, I click the wrong button, and suddenly we're doing something that would get you banned from a ren faire. The art is rougher than a bar fight but it fits the messy lab vibe. No ragdolls or fancy shaders, just horny fantasy creatures and a protagonist who somehow never questions why everyone wants to fuck on top of his experiment table. If that's your thing, the browser version runs fine, no install bullshit. Just don't expect a tutorial to hold your hand.
