Powering through Summoners Quest at like 2 PM on a Tuesday, sweatpants optional, brain half melted from a morning of actual work. You know that feeling when you click a parody game expecting complete garbage and instead get... something that makes you pause your podcast? Not because it's revolutionary but because it's got that specific jank energy of early internet flash games where the artist was clearly horny and learning at the same time. The faces are wonky, the anatomy does that thing where limbs attach at angles that don't exist in nature, but somehow Jinx's crazy grin is captured perfectly. That unhinged energy translates.
The game splits into two routes, Caitlyn or Vi, which is basically the eternal LoL shipping war given interactive form. I went Vi first because I'm predictable. The dialogue is stilted in that machine translated way where characters say things like "I am feeling the attraction to you strongly" and honestly? That's the charm. It reminds me of downloading shady visual novels from forums where the download link was hidden behind three ad walls and you felt like a digital archaeologist. There's this one scene where Vi's sprite just... floats slightly above the background and I laughed for a solid minute. Not mocking, just genuine delight at the imperfection. The sex scenes are explicit without being mechanical, which is a low bar but hey, it clears it. Something about the crude art style makes the lewd parts hit different, less polished but more earnest? Like finding a dirty sketch in someone's notebook versus a sterile render.
What's missing is any real interaction with the League setting beyond surface references. No hextech gadgets, no Piltover politics, just the characters in a vacuum. A DLC adding some proper lore integration would be chef's kiss. Or just more scenes with Jinx being a chaotic third wheel. The summoner framing device is there but barely used, could lean into that voyeuristic angle harder. The game doesn't overstay its welcome though, gets to the point, delivers the goods, and I respect that efficiency even if I'm left wanting more context for why these champions are suddenly confessing feelings in what looks like a repurposed RPG maker hallway. The Vi route ends with a surprisingly tender moment that I won't spoil but it made me forget for a second that I was playing a porn parody.
