The first thing that hits you is the music. It’s that familiar, bubbly tune but slightly off, like a corrupted memory. Then you see Frank, this rough looking fugitive, washing up on the shore and immediately deciding the best plan is to literally become SpongeBob. He puts on the clothes. He moves into the pineapple. It’s so stupid it wraps back around to being genius. I spent a good chunk of time just walking around Bikini Bottom, poking at things, waiting for the other shoe to drop. And oh, it drops.

The sex scenes are animated, which is a plus, but the real hook is the sheer wrongness of it all. You’ve got Sandy Cheeks bent over a lab table, and the animation is janky in a way that feels intentional, like a fever dream you can’t wake up from. The male domination tag is front and center, Frank is a complete bastard, and the game doesn’t pretend otherwise. There’s a handjob scene with Mrs. Puff that made me close my browser for a second, not out of disgust, but out of a strange, bewildered respect. They actually went there. The mini-games are whatever, a way to get currency for the shop, but I kept failing the jellyfishing one because I was too distracted by the erotic sprites popping up in the corner.

I do wish the inventory was less of a mess. Finding a specific item later is a pain, and the game never really explains why you need half the junk you collect. It’s a sandbox, sure, but the sand feels a bit thin in places. The graphic violence tag is no joke either, there’s a moment with Plankton that’s just… a lot. It clashes with the cartoon parody vibe in a way that’s jarring, not in a good way. But then you’ll get a scene where Frank is getting a blowjob from Pearl while Mr. Krabs is in the next room, and the absurdity pulls you right back in. It’s a shipwreck of a game, and I mean that as the highest compliment. My save file corrupted once and I almost didn’t mind starting over.
