So the blackmail system in this thing is completely busted and I love it. You get these photos, right, from the voyeur scenes, and the game acts like you're supposed to use them as leverage. Classic eroge setup. But the dialogue trees are so unhinged that half the time the girl just laughs at you, or worse, pulls out a knife. There's this one scene with the pirate-obsessed classmate where I tried the blackmail option and she just stared at the screen for a solid ten seconds before the game crashed to desktop. Not a bug, I think. It felt intentional. The horror tag isn't just for show, the whole thing runs on this Honey Select engine that makes everyone look like glossy mannequins, which somehow makes the monster encounters way more disturbing than any actual horror game I've played.

The cosplay mechanic is where the leveling system should be but isn't. You collect outfits, but they don't boost stats or unlock scenes in any logical way. I spent way too long trying to figure out if the nurse outfit gave a bonus to the harem route progression. It doesn't. It just changes what the girls say when they inevitably betray you or try to kill you in your sleep. The game keeps track of your virginity like it's a major plot flag, which is funny because the protagonist is such a blank slate that it feels like a joke at the player's expense.

The adventure parts feel like someone stapled a point and click from 2003 onto a porn game and forgot to explain any of it. You click on a lamp and suddenly there's a monster. You click on a girl and sometimes it's a sex scene, sometimes it's a fever dream about your missing dad. The comedy is so dry I can't tell if the translation is bad or if it's genius. Probably both. The big ass and big tits tags are accurate, I guess, but the 3dcg makes everything look like a weird dollhouse, which again, works for the horror vibe but maybe not for the fap material. Unless you're into that. I kind of am now.
