Okay so Mai Saotome isn't some fresh faced rookie, you can tell by the way she holds her gun in the one CG where the shirt's half open. Private police. Fancy term for rent a cop with tits, but the game plays it dead straight which is somehow funnier. The whole thing's a visual novel setup with those stiff 3D models that japanese hentai devs love, the ones where the hair doesn't move right but the boobs have their own physics engine. Her partner Takayama has this blocky jaw and they're supposed to protect some millionaire's brat, but really you're just clicking through dialogue about the Dibero company. Dibero. Sounds like a laxative.

The prologue structure is weirdly horny about corporate espionage. You spend more time reading internal memos than actually doing detective work. There's this one scene where Mai's leaning over a desk and the camera just... lingers. On the skirt. For like seven clicks. No animation, no payoff, just the model frozen mid lean like a mannequin in a store that sells anxiety. I kept clicking hoping the angle would change. It didn't. That's the whole game really, a series of almost moments held together by a password system at the end. Literally gives you a code for part two like some 90s shareware.

Wish the corruption arc started faster. Mai's got that tight uniform and the detective angle could've gone full vice squad sleaze but it's all setup, no delivery. The artist clearly knows how to render a cameltoe through fabric, I'll give them that, but they're saving it for the sequel probably. The password at the end feels like a promise. Or a threat. Either way I wrote it down on a sticky note that's now lost somewhere under my keyboard and I'm genuinely annoyed about that. Not annoyed enough to replay though. The skip button's right there but my finger got tired.
