The character creator in Repurpose asks if you're cis or trans right off the bat, no big speech about it, just a checkbox and move on. I picked a trans guy because why not, the game's whole deal is being dead and queer in limbo. You wake up in this garden that's not really Eden, more like a waiting room with flowers, and there's a snake person named Levi who explains you've got three paths. Heaven trials, hell party life, or just... stay. Float around forever I guess.
The art is 2D, kinda rough around the edges honestly. Some CGs look like they were drawn on a tablet during a commute, but that almost works for the vibe. This isn't some polished angel fantasy. It's limbo. The futa character, Sam, has these scenes where the anatomy is... ambitious. Let's just say the artist had a vision and committed to it. The horror elements sneak up on you too. One minute you're flirting with a cute demon, next minute the background goes dark and there's text about your old life that made me put my phone down for a sec. Not jump scare stuff, more like existential dread creeping in.
Wish there was more actual sex content though. The tags say no sexual content but then there's definitely some heavy petting and a fade to black that felt like a cop out. You build all this tension with the lesbian route, the futa route, and then it's just... implied. I spent twenty minutes choosing dialogue options to get closer to Mara, this goth angel type, and the payoff was a kiss and some wing touching. Wing touching. Come on.
The multiple endings thing is real at least. I got one where my character just accepted limbo and started gardening with some other lost souls. Depressing but also weirdly peaceful. My commute was over by then anyway.
