That blonde. The Huldra. The way her hair falls across her face when she leans in close, all that pale skin and those eyes that don't quite track right. I keep thinking about drawing her, but not the horror bits. The moments before. When she's still playing human, still pretending to be just some girl in the woods, and you can see the cracks if you squint. The game is this weird little point and click thing, right, and you're lost in the forest with your friend and there's something wrong with the trees and the air feels thick like before a storm.

The pov perspective makes everything feel... closer than it should. You're just clicking around, trying to find objects with the tab key because the graphics are deliberately rough, like someone filmed their backyard with an old phone and ran it through a nightmare filter. And honestly? That's what makes it work. The jank isn't a bug, it's the whole vibe. I got stuck for way too long on this one puzzle with a rope, kept clicking the wrong pixel while the atmosphere just sat there being uncomfortable. The sound design, or lack of it, the silence that isn't quite silent. There's this one moment where you realize what's about to happen and you can't stop it and the game doesn't let you look away. The assfuck scene comes out of nowhere but also exactly where you knew it was heading, and it's framed in this detached, almost clinical way that makes it dirtier somehow. Like you're not supposed to be watching. The demon tag is earned, not just slapped on. She's not a succubus with horns and a tail, she's something older and wrong, and when she takes what she wants from the poor bastard who didn't run fast enough, it's mechanical and hungry. No moaning, no fake porn dialogue. Just the sounds of something feeding. The quest structure is barebones, basically just "find the things or die," but the multiple endings actually made me replay it. The good ending requires paying attention to details that seem like background noise at first. Little objects that don't glow as bright with the tab highlight. The maniac energy isn't in the player character, it's in the Huldra herself, the way she moves when you finally see her clearly. That twitchy, wrong speed. I want to draw her mid transformation, spine bending backward, hair spreading like roots into the soil. Or maybe just her face, that blank expression right before she smiles. The thriller elements are there in the pacing, the way the game knows exactly when to let you breathe and when to yank the air out of your lungs. Not perfect. The walking speed is glacial and there's no run button, which I guess adds to the helplessness but also made me want to scream at my screen for reasons unrelated to horror. Still. That face.
