The opening CG hits and I actually snorted. Not at the art, which is that particular brand of hentai where every female student looks like they’re smuggling volleyballs under a uniform two sizes too small. No, it’s the premise. Sister sacrifices everything so brother can attend college, and within the first ten clicks he’s leading a rebellion against some rich prick named, I think, Victor? Vincent? Something with a V. The tonal whiplash is almost a feature. You’re supposed to be this grateful, determined underdog, but the detective mechanics, such as they are, mostly involve clicking on girls in the library until you trigger a competition scene that ends with her bent over a study carrel. The intrigue tag is doing a lot of heavy lifting. There’s a mystery about the dean’s corruption or something, I don’t know, I kept getting distracted by the physics defying breasts.
The teacher character, Ms. Hartley, has this scene where she’s supposedly evaluating your “rebellion strategy” in her office. It devolves into a power struggle that’s less about pedagogy and more about seeing how many different fluids the artist can render on a single desk. I spent an absurd amount of time fixated on a background detail, a framed diploma that’s clearly just a blurred jpeg of a stock photo. It’s crooked. In every shot. Even after the desk is supposedly cleared. That kind of sloppy unpolish is what you’re signing up for. The student competition segments feel like they were coded by someone who just discovered branching dialogue trees but only had the patience to make two paths, both leading to the same sticky conclusion.
There’s a point where you’re gathering evidence in the locker room and the protagonist’s inner monologue is all grim determination while a classmate is literally on her knees behind him. The game never acknowledges this disconnect. It’s not satire, it’s just horny and forgetful. I wish the detective parts were harder, or at least made a lick of sense, but they won’t be. You’ll click the shiny object, a girl will appear, and the rebellion against the spoiled college elite will be fought one improbably loud orgasm at a time. The sister who sacrificed everything? She shows up in a flashback exactly once, looking sad in a kitchen, and then the game forgets she exists so you can rail the rival’s girlfriend in a supply closet. Priorities.
