The localization in Paracosmic Reality is a goddamn mess and I mean that as a compliment. Whoever translated the dialogue clearly had two tabs open, one with a thesaurus and one with pornhub, and just went for it. The main girl, the one with the short hair who shows up at your new property first, she says "I'm not here to complicate your existence" and then five lines later she's talking about how wet she is. The whiplash is real. I actually laughed out loud when the redhead called the mysterious benefactor a "cryptic cum-dispenser of fate." That's not a real phrase. That's not how anyone talks. I love it.

The setup is you get this property out of nowhere, some kind of inheritance or gift, nobody explains shit properly. You poke around, meet girls, they move in because of course they do. The harem assembles itself with the logic of a porno, which is to say no logic at all. One minute you're checking the mailbox, next minute there's a girl in your kitchen wearing your shirt and nothing else, asking philosophical questions about property ownership. The choice system is barebones, mostly picking which girl to bang and in what position, but the writing during the sex scenes has this unhinged quality. During a threesome scene one character started monologuing about the nature of reality while riding me. I couldn't tell if it was intentional comedy or just bad writing. Either way I was into it.

The CG art is decent, nothing groundbreaking but the artist clearly spent time on the expressions. There's this one scene with the shy girl in the library where she looks genuinely conflicted and horny at the same time, that's a hard emotion to capture. The party tag is misleading though, there's like one scene where everyone's together and it's more of a gathering than a party. I wanted an actual orgy, you know? The game builds up this whole mystery about who gave you the property and why, and honestly I stopped caring around the third blowjob. The plot tries to be deep but the sex keeps interrupting it. Maybe that's the point. Maybe nothing matters except the next scene. The game certainly seems to think so.
