You ever notice how some games have that one moment where the camera lingers just a little too long on something and you think, oh, okay, this is gonna be one of those. For me it was the lactating spider woman. Not a sentence I expected to type today but here we are.
The whole thing starts with exile. Your guy gets dumped into some shifting nightmare realm where humans supposedly don't last long, and immediately the prose gets weirdly poetic about it. First person, very flowery, very "I am alone in the void" energy. I was rolling my eyes a bit. Then the first monster girl shows up and the game drops all pretense of being high art. You can grope her. Like, explicitly, as a combat option. The turn based fights let you do things that would get you arrested in any civilized dimension. Spanking, teasing, straight up grabbing. And the enemies respond. The spider woman I mentioned, she produces milk when you win certain encounters. You can... collect it. For management purposes. The game has resource management. I forgot to mention that. You're managing supplies while also managing how many times you've made a harpy climax in public.
The exhibitionism tag isn't lying. There's a scene where you're doing things with a slime girl and the text makes it very clear that other creatures are watching. The game just leans into it. No shame. The male domination angle is strong too, you're always in control, always the one deciding when and where and how deep. Sometimes literally with the creampie frequency. The pregnancy mechanics tie into the management layer somehow, I didn't get far enough to see the full consequences but the option is there, hanging over every encounter like a very sticky sword of Damocles.
The writing is... look, it's trying. Some lines hit like genuine poetry and then the next paragraph describes anal sex with the clinical precision of a medical textbook. The romance paths are actually sweet in between the degradation. I found myself caring about one of the NPCs, a fox eared woman who talks in riddles, and then the next scene I'm ordering her to present herself in the town square. The tonal whiplash should be annoying but it kind of works? Like the game knows exactly what it is and refuses to apologize. The RPG elements are surprisingly deep for something that also lets you manually milk a centaur. Equipment, stats, choices that matter. I wish the UI was less clunky though. Clicking through text boxes during heated moments feels like trying to sext on a Nokia 3310.
Anyway the spider woman called me "little morsel" and I think about that a lot.
