The cutscene where she first leans over the desk. Her blouse, that cheap polyester thing, doesn't just gape, it gives up entirely. One button just pops. The sound design is atrocious, a generic click that sounds like a light switch, but the visual, god, the visual. A real model, you can see the faint tan line, the way the lace of her bra digs in just a fraction. My job is to look at keyframes and in-betweens all day, and here, the animation is maybe five frames total, a stuttering mess. But the model they scanned? The texture of her skin under that office lighting, the slight sheen on her collarbone. It's more honest than half the polished crap I see in dailies. The "investigation" is a joke, click the obvious hotspot, get a loop of her biting her lip. The mayor is a non-entity, a name on a paper prop. I spent ten minutes just rotating the view, finding the exact angle where the shadow from her hair falls across her throat. The torture tag is misleading, it's just a weirdly aggressive dialogue choice that leads to the same VIP room scene anyway. The cake, a stupid prop on the desk, has higher texture resolution than the detective's face. Priorities. This isn't a game, it's a 3D viewer for a single, very specific fantasy, and the "video" rewards are just the same canned animations from a locked camera. I forgot what I was supposed to be investigating. Something about the mayor. Doesn't matter. There's a moment when she adjusts her glasses and the strap of her top slips. The loop stutters. It's perfect. The whole thing is a broken mess, a slideshow with delusions of interactivity, and I've already reloaded the episode three times.
