Right so the redhead. She's got this look, yeah? Like she's already done with the whole dungeon before even stepping inside. I respect that. I've blown actual money on gacha pulls for characters with less personality in their entire splash art than she has in that one idle animation where she just sort of shifts her weight. The goblins though. Little green bastards. You're hunting for these three big dick buttons, which is already the most honest objective a game's ever given me, and they're always, always behind a pack of these guys. The POV really sells it when they get handsy. It's not a combat game, you can't die, but if they grab you it's a full reset to the start. Which happened. A lot. Because I got distracted. There's this one corner in the second area, near a torch that flickers weird, where a goblin's patrol path is just slightly off sync with the music. I spent maybe ten minutes just watching him, waiting for the perfect moment to slip past, and he still caught me. The anal scene with the bigger monster, the one that's not quite a goblin, caught me off guard. The sound design is surprisingly crunchy. You hear the squelch before you fully register what the animation's committing to. It's unpolished in a way that feels deliberate, like the jank is part of the texture. The dungeon siege vibe is there in the claustrophobic corridors, but it's more of a monster hunter loop of baiting and dodging. Wish the buttons themselves did something more interesting when pressed, a little rumble or a screen shake, but they just sort of click. The oral bits are fine, standard fare, but it's the chase that got its hooks in. The way the redhead's breath hitches in the quiet moments between monster packs. That's the stuff.
