Hale Wolfe is a corporate suit with a stick up his ass and secrets that would make a priest sweat, and the game drops you right into his midnight crisis when his sister shows up unannounced. The whole thing feels like someone filmed a softcore thriller on a camcorder they found in a dumpster, deliberate jank everywhere, textures that look like they were compressed through a potato. But that's the charm, right? It's not trying to be slick. The sex scenes are interactive in a way that lets you replay them like a pervert stuck on loop, picking different angles or actions each time, and the first one with the sister character hits that weird taboo note without ever getting fully explicit enough to satisfy. You keep thinking it'll go further and it just... edges you. Story choices pop up that supposedly matter but half the time I picked something and the dialogue barely twitched, like the game forgot what branch I was on. Replay value my ass.
The immersive reality gimmick is where things get unhinged. You can literally sit on a virtual couch and watch TV inside the game, surf a fake internet with broken links, play some minigame that's basically a flash game from 2006. I spent twenty minutes trying to find porn on the in-game browser and all I got was a 404 page and a laugh track from the TV. Who programs this? A madman. The thriller tag is doing heavy lifting because the tension is mostly Hale sweating in his apartment while ominous music plays and his phone buzzes with texts that read like a bad creepypasta. There's a moment where you check his laptop and find emails that hint at some corporate espionage shit but then the game just abandons that thread to show you another half-dressed scene with the sister. Priorities.
Wish the minigames were actually spicy instead of just filler. Imagine if the arcade cabinet in his apartment let you play a lewd rhythm game or something, but nah, it's just a generic block breaker. The whole thing feels like a demo that accidentally got released, v0.1 indeed, and I respect the hustle of putting it on Patreon but brother, finish the sister plotline before asking for cash. The music slaps though, some lo-fi beat that loops while you're poking around his apartment looking for clues or just clicking on the TV remote seventeen times because you're bored.
