The thing about Neru is she never stops moving. Even when the tentacles show up, that hip sway doesn't break. I spent way too long just watching the idle animation before I even clicked anything. There's this one frame where her leg lifts and the whole silhouette shifts and I forgot what I was supposed to be doing. The dancing is the whole point, right? But then the monster appears and suddenly it's not just dancing anymore.
The hotspots are weirdly placed. Took me three tries to find the one that actually progresses the scene. I kept clicking her shoulder like an idiot while the tentacle just... waited. Patient. Which is somehow worse than if it rushed in. The Japanese voice clips loop in a way that starts to feel like a song after a while, or maybe I was just losing focus. The whole thing has this rough edge to it, like someone drew it in a hurry but cared enough to get the important parts right. The anatomy bends where it shouldn't but honestly that adds something. A kind of wrongness that fits the tentacle theme.
Wish there was more to do after the main event. It just sort of stops and you're left staring at the screen wondering if you missed a hotspot. You didn't. That's all there is. The animation quality is inconsistent, some frames are smooth and others jump like a scratched disc, but the parts that work really work. The way the tentacles wrap, I mean. Not going to pretend I didn't replay it twice. Maybe three times. The dancing alone is almost worth it, which is a strange thing to say about a hentai game but here we are. Neru's expression barely changes through the whole thing and I can't decide if that's lazy or deliberate. Probably both. Probably doesn't matter.
