So I'm scrolling through the usual spots looking for something that isn't just another clicker with tits, and I find Contact. The setup is you're Mike, spending summer at your grandma's place, helping with her little store. Sounds wholesome, right? But the tags don't lie, this is a visual novel with some very specific CG hentai scenes baked in. The grandma isn't just some background NPC either, she's front and center in the relationship tags, which, yeah, that's a choice. A bold one.
The art is rough. Not in a charming indie way, more like someone was still learning how to draw hands and just said fuck it, let's ship it. But here's the thing, the jank kind of works for the seedy vibe. It feels like finding a sticky magazine under a park bench, not something polished for mass appeal. The quest system is basic, you run the shop, you talk to her old friends, you unlock scenes. There's this one moment early on where you're just stocking shelves and the dialogue takes a turn, and suddenly you're in a full on CG scene with the grandma character. The transition is so abrupt I laughed, then I kept playing. The shop mechanic is whatever, it's just clicking through menus to get money, but it's the currency for unlocking more of the family drama and the lewd stuff. I do wish there was more with the friends tag, the side characters feel like they're just there to nod and then vanish. The teen protagonist angle is played straight, he's just a horny dude trying to help, which is the entire plot. The writing has this weird mix of trying to be sweet about helping an aging relative and then immediately undercutting it with a sex scene. It's tonally all over the place. I spent way too long trying to figure out the inventory system for the shop, it's not explained at all, you just have to click everything. Anyway, the game crashes sometimes when you try to save during a scene, which is annoying but also adds to the danger, I guess. It's a mess, but it's a memorable mess.
Would you like me to show you what they are?
