The thing about 7 Islands Domain is that it knows exactly what it is, and it doesn't pretend otherwise. You move to this island, right? And suddenly every woman within a ten mile radius is a college girl or a professor with a chest that defies physics. I spent way too long just staring at the neighbor in apartment 3B, the one with the glasses. The way the artist draws a simple white blouse straining at the buttons... it's a specific kind of tension that works. It's not subtle. Subtlety got on a boat and left the island.
The whole setup feels like a fever dream a very specific, very horny professor might have during a boring faculty meeting. You're supposedly there for some reason, maybe a job, maybe just vibes, but the only real curriculum is figuring out which door to knock on next. The dialogue is exactly what you'd expect from a hentai visual novel. A professor asks you to stay after class and you just know the "extra credit" isn't going to involve a textbook. I did find myself wishing there was a button to just, I don't know, make the text go faster? Sometimes you're just there for the big reveal, you know? But the game has its own pace, a slow burn that suddenly isn't slow anymore.
There's a scene with a teacher in her office that's just... a lot of desk. A lot of leaning over the desk. The CG art is the main event here, all glossy and exaggerated in that way that makes you feel like you need to wipe off your screen. The anatomy is ridiculous. Absolutely, gloriously ridiculous. And the sound design, or lack of it, is something you don't notice until you realize you've been clicking in silence for ten minutes, just soaking in the absurdity of an entire island populated exclusively by busty academics who have lost their clothes. It's a simple loop. See a woman, talk to her, see her with fewer clothes. The game never tries to be more than that, and honestly, that's almost refreshing. It's a single minded pursuit of a goal, and that goal is not a degree.
